All Day – Family Fun Day!


All River Summit Saturday Family Fun Day events are FREE (with one exception) and will be at various locations along the St. Marys River in downtown Fort Wayne Indiana. The events are between the confluence of the St. Marys and St. Joesph Rivers at the City of Fort Wayne’s Three Rivers Water Filtration Plant and extend back to the Historic Wells Street Bridge with stops at the Fort Wayne Outfitters & Bike Depot, the Headwaters Park West Pavilion, and Historic Fort Wayne.

The day begins at Arts United Performing Arts Center on Main Street at 9 am.

Three Rivers Water Filtration Plant – River water quality

  • Information about upcoming river water quality improvement projects
  • Science Central hands on display – How a watershed works
  • IPFW – River water sampling/wather quality data; river ecology and wildlife

  • A day in the wildlife of the rivers


Historic Old Fort Wayne – The importance of the rivers to our heritage

  • Tours of the Old Fort – Rivers in the life of early settlers and soldiers
  • Dr. I.C. Coldwater – “Nice River! Where should we live?” Fresh water awareness
  • Maumee Valley Heritage Corridor – History of food production in the Maumee Valley
  • Miami Tribe – Tribal heritage and the rivers
  • Fresh water awareness and the human/river interface

    Special demonstrations at 11:00 am and possibly 1:00 pm
